Qualifications

What role will you play?

The HR Senior Director will partner with the business to provide both day-to-day and strategic leadership to drive people and organization initiatives that enhance capability and support business growth. You'll build and execute business and HR priorities including talent management, employee engagement, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness (performance, organization design & capabilities, and change management). You will ultimately be an organizational design architect that will help shape the business and the culture for Colgate to be at its best.

The position is based in France in our Colombes office (92). The position reports into the General Manager of the Western Europe Hub and supports the commercial organization of Colgate Palmolive and Hill’s Pet Nutrition in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. There will be a key partnership with the HR teams of the factories in France and the Netherlands.

What you will do
People Partnering
  1. Be an integral part of the business and collaborate with the Leadership Team on key business decisions and develop solutions that maximize performance and anticipate business needs.
  2. Understand local market and external factors to contribute to the development of insights and to support HR BP, COEs, and business decisions.
  3. Leverage data and employee survey to identify people/organizational insights and inform decision making.
  4. Supporting more than 450 people.
  5. Define the people strategy to support the company strategy for the Western Europe hub (France, Belgium, Netherlands).
  6. Design the organization principles.
  7. Define the training strategy.
  8. Define the Cultural evolution plan, and visualize new ways for engaging the future workforce.
Talent Management
  1. Address questions from business stakeholders on interpretation of HR policies, consulting with COEs as needed.
  2. Understand and apply the company’s philosophy, principles, and programs (including total rewards, learning, people development, and mobility).
  3. Participate in the co-creation, deployment, and execution of CoE-developed strategies (including, e.g., rewards & recognition, employer brand, development, and learning).
  4. Highlight local nuances to Business Partner / COEs as applicable to inform the design and execution of HR programs.
  5. Support the recruitment, hiring, and social onboarding of staff in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition COE, CBS team, and hiring managers.
  6. Lead the preparation and facilitation of talent reviews and succession planning.
  7. Collaborate with the Learning COE to identify learning needs, support the execution of Learning Demand Plan, and provide feedback.
  8. Partner with Business Leaders in the implementation of organization design.
  9. Spearhead change management or transformation initiatives for the business.
  10. Support Business Partner and Managers in the execution of employee engagement initiatives.
Positive Employee Relations Environment
  1. Advocate for employees through workforce relationships.
  2. Contribute to leaders’ initiatives to create and maintain a positive employee relations work environment.
  3. Support the execution of employee and labor relations training for management and supervisory staff.
  4. Advise and coach business leaders and managers on the resolution of employee inquiries and issues, consulting with Legal as needed.
  5. Champion the company’s Ethical Leadership standards, behaviors, and compliance. Partner with the Diversity and Inclusion COEs to implement relevant local initiatives.

Required Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline.
  2. Fluent in French and English.
  3. At least 10 years of progressive HR experience.
  4. At least 5 years in the implementation of HR initiatives.
  5. At least 2 years in at least one HR Specialty Area (Compensation, Benefits, People Relations, People Development, Diversity & Inclusion, Analytics, Organization Development / Design).
  6. At least 1 international experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturing and/or consumer products industry experience.
