Your Role

The HR Business Partner Team Lead will be the bridge between the Regional HR Director and the Local HRBP team, driving the local HR strategy forward, ensuring alignment with global organizational goals.

Within your geographic scope, you will be responsible for the execution of organizational change projects together with your Local HRBP team.

As an active member of the Country HR Leadership Team, you will exemplify our leadership behaviors and organizational values, acting as a role model for the team and escalation point for decisions and guidance on high risk and / or complex situations.

  • Lead the HRBP team, setting a clear vision and expectations for the team aligned with the global HR strategy
  • Set clear focus areas for the team, effectively managing performance, and supporting development, ensuring smooth deliverables
  • Contribute to the overall HR Business Partnering model, encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing to ensure HR Business Partners work effectively with other HR functions and Centers of Excellence to provide a holistic service on shared Human Resources offerings
  • Act as an escalation point for decisions on high risk and / or complex employee relations, ensuring a clear and consistent strategy is in place for handling and resolving issues that mitigates organizational risk
  • Contribute to and support global and regional HR initiatives designed to enhance corporate culture and employee engagement, including leading HR initiatives or day-to-day activities to achieve desired outcomes
  • Capitalize on HR analytics, data and technology to support business operations to ensure HR reporting and analytics are implemented across the business areas to drive business decisions and reporting of HR Metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Employee Lifecycle

  • Facilitate effective communication between management and employees :
  • Conduct and report on surveys, focus groups, interviews to support in identifying pertinent employee-related issues
  • Partner with line managers and CoE TM through business processes such as talent reviews, performance management, and annual compensation cycle
  • Handle day-to-day activities on HR-related employee queries on site level, such as employee safety and health management
  • Review employee compensation packages and calibrate individual salary increases deriving from annual review with managers, and respond to employee queries within the C&B CoE framework
  • Participate in the recruitment process in collaboration with the CoE TA
  • Manage sickness absence cases, including Occupational Health referrals, implementing recommendations, and providing ongoing support
  • Manage disciplinary and grievance case work when necessary : conduct investigations and formal hearings and ensure compliance with relevant Employee Relations processes
  • Manage exits and interviews to understand the reasoning

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Consult with and advise business managers on disciplinary process and risk assessment on employee relations and performance related issues
  • Implement employee relations strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives
  • Deploy policies, procedures, and programs that foster positive employee relations and maintain a harmonious work environment

Legal Framework & Compliance

  • Provide advice and guidance to local management teams on employment-related legal matters
  • Conduct internal investigations into complaints, allegations, or policy violations
  • Stay up to date on employment laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance
  • Act as a liaison for works councils, employee representatives and unions

About You

  • Degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field
  • 10 years of professional experience as an HR Generalist / Partner with a minimum of 5 years at Senior HRBP level leading local HR strategies in a multinational company
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of driving a high-performance culture and role modelling excellent behaviors
  • A passion for developing and coaching people to unlock potential and performance
  • Proven ability to think and lead strategically, understand and drive toward the big picture while remaining detail-oriented and hands-on in daily HR operational matters
  • Good understanding of core HR policies including a sound understanding of employee relations and employment law, with the ability to navigate complex and ambiguous cases
  • Excellent partnering, influencing and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work collaboratively with peers and colleagues including at senior level
  • Demonstrated strong collaboration with other functions, such as HR Centers of Excellence, Local HRBP peers, and cross-functional partners
  • Strong business acumen, pragmatism and commercial mindset
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external customer service focus
  • Fluency in French & English is required, German will be an advantage
