Under the hierarchical responsibility of the EM2 Installation Manager and deputy construction manager, the package manager is responsible for the execution of works associated with package EM2.1:
- Installation of primary supports,
- Installation of heavy components (Vessel, Steam Generator, PZR) and finishing,
- Installation and TIG welding of primary system,
- Installation and welding of the PZR surge line,
- Preparation of primary system for functional testing,
All activities must be performed in compliance with safety and security rules, quality standards, and the project schedule, while ensuring adherence to local labor regulations.
The package manager will coordinate with functional interfaces including QC, methods, planning, logistics, H&S teams, the head office engineering and project units, AREVA site (QA, H&S), and customer supervision or safety authorities.
Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate team activities and supervise subcontracted tasks within the scope of work.
- Interface with engineering departments and suppliers to resolve technical issues during erection.
- Ensure schedule feasibility and take measures to complete work on time and with quality.
- Anticipate manpower needs based on the overall site schedule.
- Propose rescheduling or acceleration measures for work completion.
- Manage requests for equipment, materials, and logistical resources, and communicate these to the package leader.
- Report weekly on activities to the construction manager.
- Report technical, material, or physical issues to the construction or deputy construction manager.
- Ensure compliance with administrative and H&S rules for all personnel on site.
- Verify personnel timekeeping records before submission to the EM2 Installation Manager.
- Collect and formalize feedback to improve erection operations.
Desired Profile
- Educational background as a general engineer in mechanical or electromechanical engineering, or proven experience as an operation manager with extensive mechanical erection and heavy component handling experience in nuclear power plants.
- Knowledge of welding is required.
- Ability to manage a team of over forty personnel, including expatriates and local staff, and subcontractors, within a multi-disciplinary and multicultural environment.
- Strong organizational and methodological skills.
- Effective communication skills internally and with project, engineering teams, customers, and suppliers.
