Mercyhealth is seeking an Environmental Services Specialist to perform thorough cleaning across patient areas, adhering to infection prevention standards and practicing safe chemical handling. You will manage EVS supplies, coordinate special projects, and support patient care areas with timely communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities include bed setup in EPIC, responding to alerts, and maintaining equipment and safety.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Responsabilités

Thorough cleaning of assigned areas including furniture, tile, fixtures, windows, sinks, tubs, toilets, mirrors, showers, etc.
Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
Observe infection prevention standards and use correct chemicals for different pathogens.
Maintain EVS closet, EVS cart, and equipment; report safety hazards or needed repairs.
Replenish paper, soap, and hand sanitizer; hang cubicles/drapes.
Coordinate special projects and inform affected departments of upcoming work.
Move furniture and equipment following safety guidelines; seek assistance when needed.
Mix and store chemicals correctly; use PPE; block off work areas with signs.
Make beds per area needs and update EPIC; respond to calls within 5 minutes.
Return soiled and clean mops to proper containers; adhere to regulations for waste handling.
