Position

An opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Support Worker at Arran War Memorial Hospital on the Isle of Arran.

What You Will Do

We are seeking an enthusiastic and flexible HCSW/band 3 to join our team of staff providing care to patients within all of the potential care settings, with a focus on Arran Nursing and supporting GP practice.

The post holder is required to work collaboratively in a safe, caring and respectful way. The Isle of Arran is the 7th largest island in Scotland and is often described as 'Scotland in Miniature' due to its mountainous north and rolling lowlands to the south of the island. Arran is separated from the mainland. Ayrshire by an hour long ferry crossing from Ardrossan or Troon, to Brodick, and in summer, by a shorter ferry from Kintyre to Lochranza. Although located off the west coast of Scotland you can still travel by public transport to Glasgow in two hours. Arran's stable population is approximately 5000 which increases 4fold during the summer months.

Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required To Do The Job

The successful candidate will be able to provide evidence of work experience in a variety of acute clinical or community care settings. Staff will be required to work and provide care in all general areas within the hospital as well as working out in the community.

Hours: 22.2 hours per week
