Syneria is an independent technical advisory company and engineering consultancy in wind and solar PV energy mainly active in France, Europe and Southeast Asia. Our 3 core businesses are project design & energy yield assessment, technical advisory and construction management services. We are involved in the entire project life cycle, from development to operation and dismantling/repowering. The company was created in 2018 by 3 experienced engineers and has a team of 25 engineers based in Paris, Rennes, Montpellier in France, Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam and Madrid, Spain. You will be part of an experienced and multidisciplinary team, working on a wide range of projects in different countries. Your skills, strategy and vision will make you a key person for the growth of company.

Your role

You will manage the technical advisory department that is responsible for the delivery of consultancy and technical due diligence services for wind or solar PV projects. The department already includes 6 engineers with different seniority levels who deliver high quality technical due diligence reports for banks, investors, developers, and operators. These missions mainly consist in identifying and quantifying technical, contractual and financial risks of wind or PV projects before they are financed or sold /acquired, and suggesting some solutions to reduce/mitigate the associated risk level. As the company grows internationally, the department is expected to reach 10 full time engineers by 2026.

You will be responsible for the growth and profitability of your service area and will report to the top management and your main activities will include:

  • Managing the team on a daily basis and optimising team schedules to meet customers’ expectations;
  • Developing and maintaining the necessary in-house technical capabilities to address current and expected future clients’ needs;
  • Working collaboratively with the managers of the other technical departments (solar PV and wind, approximately 10 people in total);
  • Having the full budget and P&L responsibility, including developing annual revenues and business plans and identifying specific growth areas;
  • Driving the preparation of technical and financial proposals;
  • Being responsible for the quality control process;
  • Ensuring adequate training is provided to the new hires;
  • Improving and developing internal tools such as CAPEX/OPEX benchmark, general knowledge management tools related to the permitting, grid connection, tariff and contractual terms and conditions for wind and PV projects;
  • Management of the Clients’ expectations and relationship (Syneria has built its reputation on maintaining a close relation with its clients in order to have a better understanding of their needs);
  • Supporting Syneria’s international growth strategy in Southeast Asia and Southern Europe;
  • Taking part/leading meetings with clients and attending industry fairs.

Technical and soft skills required

  • Passionate about Renewable Energy;
  • Business school or Engineering Master degree;
  • Technical experience in wind or solar PV sector (ideally you have already worked as technical consultant);
  • Excellent spoken and written communication in French and English;
  • Leadership and good communication skills (internal/external);
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel;
  • Curiosity and proactivity;
  • Developed team spirit;
