Head of Sales Steering & Analytics

What you do

The Head of Sales Steering & Analytics will lead the development and execution of sales strategies and analytics across Allianz Partners. This role involves steering sales activities, optimizing sales performance, and driving data-driven decision-making to enhance profitable revenue growth. He/she will collaborate effectively with senior leaders across the organization to evaluate sales trends and developments.

This role reports directly to the Global Sales Excellence & Steering.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement global sales strategies aligned with business growth targets
  • Lead the sales steering function to ensure effective execution of sales plans and priorities
  • Collaborate with regional and functional leaders, leveraging sales data and analytics, to harmonize strategies and optimize opportunities in segments and markets
  • Collaborate with CMO and senior leaders to set & distribute sales targets
  • Develop quarterly reviews with regional leaders
  • Partner with the LOB leaders to design and execute growth strategies targeting key segments while identifying emerging trends and opportunities
  • Facilitate the design, development, and refinement of segmentation frameworks to enhance our go-go-market strategy
  • Design and develop advanced analytics solutions to support sales decision-making
  • Utilize data analytics and digital tools to identify sales trends, opportunities, and segment/market penetration
  • Develop key performance indicators and dashboards to track sales performance
  • Drive pipeline management and build pipeline data for Sales financial and sales forecasting

Performance Optimization

  • Analyze sales processes and methodologies to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
  • Implement best practices to optimize sales operations and enhance productivity
  • Drive priorities to improve customer experience
  • Monitor sales productivity and provide solutioning to under-performing teams
  • Partner with HR and Finance to enhance sales incentive scheme to drive desired behavior and performance
  • Oversee the governance and administration of sales KPI’s for sales incentives
  • Oversee FTE target setting and monitor FTE development for sales population
  • Monitor and provide recommendations for cost efficiency and overall sales cost

Team Empowerment

  • Lead and develop a high-performing sales steering and analytics team
  • Foster a culture of growth and continuous learning/innovation within the team
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team to support professional growth

  • Fosters a culture of accountability and empowerment and demonstrates trust in others at all levels of the business.

Collaborate and Communicate

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance and LoB’s, to study market trends and understand competitive landscape to identify opportunities for differentiation
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to ensure clarity and alignment of sales priorities and targets
  • Stay connected and informed about industry trends and emerging technologies to guide strategic planning

Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to Global Sales process and group policies & processes
  • Ensures appropriate governance and controls are in place to adhere to corporate guidelines, requirements and industry regulations

Change agent and Transformation

  • Acts as change agent across the organization, drives business transformation in the respective country
  • Communicates as a transformational leader a future-oriented vision and sets clear expectations that inspire and engage sales leaders and teams
  • Leads organizational transformation and fosters resilience during periods of change while translating global strategies into effective market plans
  • Takes initiative and tests limits but also demonstrates flexibility and adaptability where appropriate while constantly curious, action oriented, and decisive
  • Understands how to constructively challenge the conventional wisdom or accepted ways of doing things


What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Proven experience in a global role
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in sales analytics and data-driven decision-making
  • Excellent leadership and team management capabilities
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales analytics tools
  • 10+ years experience in Insurance, preferrably across several AZ Group entities
  • 10+ years in Project Management, especially in transformation projects across different function
  • Strong resilience in a highly dynamic environment
