Job description:

Main Goal

The Head of Sales - BSA Europe will develop and lead the implementation of the Field Seeds Business Sales Strategy in Europe. This role involves overseeing activities in 7 Business Areas (19 subsidiaries) to achieve the company's financial objectives and operational targets, including revenue, market share, profitability, and cash flow. The Head of Sales will also lead processes and tools improvement for the Sales Team across Europe

Job description
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the overall strategy in Europe as a member of the BSA Europe Comex.
  • Manage the monthly business committee with the 7 Heads of Business Areas, Commercial Excellence Manager, Marketing, Finance, and other departments.
  • Achieve sales turnover, profitability, inventory, and receivables targets while accelerating business growth and increasing market share.
  • Lead and manage the European Sales community, including Country Managers and Country Sales Managers.
  • Define commercial targets, coordinate sales budgets, and midterm sales plans in cooperation with the Marketing team.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies, including pricing, business models, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Drive Commercial Excellence across Europe by enhancing the Sales Excellence program and optimizing the use of CRM tools.
  • Support Business Areas in building local business strategies and ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead the Europe Credit Committee in coordination with the Finance team to optimize customer credit and risk policy.
  • Manage and improve interfaces between the Headquarter BSA Europe, Business Areas, and subsidiaries in a matrix organization.


Profile description:

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Science and/or MBA in Agribusiness.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience with at least 7 years in senior sales management and/or commercial excellence positions in the agribusiness and international environment.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Specific experience in the agricultural business, including knowledge of agricultural products, market trends, and the unique needs of farmers and agribusinesses.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.

  • Ability to lead and inspire a community in a matrix organization.
  • In-depth understanding of sales principles, CRM software, and sales performance metrics.
  • Strong commercial mindset with the ability to analyze sales data and market trends.
