Overview:
The Head of Risk is responsible for designing and overseeing the risk management framework for the Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP), ensuring comprehensive identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across crypto-asset services and Electronic Money Institution (EMI) operations. Based in Malta, this role aligns with the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) requirements, covering operational, financial, market, and compliance risks associated with custody, trading, and electronic money activities. The Head of Risk works closely with the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) to integrate AML/CTF risk strategies and with the Head of Compliance to ensure regulatory alignment, collaborating with the CEO, CSO, and other leaders to safeguard the organisation in a complex fintech environment.
