The division
You will join Group Procurement division. Our mission is to increase AXA Group competitiveness by optimizing the end-to-end Procurement cycle of external spend (excluding Insurance procurement), while building a high performance, sustainable and risk-managed supplier base. We have a global and entity Procurement presence with 2 different mandates:
As Group, we:
- Leverage our purchasing power through global deals & key supplier relationship management;
- Define and share vendor risk framework & outsourcing policies;
- Provide and manage global Procurement tools;
- Drive responsible Procurement across AXA;
- Engage the Procurement community.
As Group Operations (GO) support function, we:
- Optimize the external spend by managing categories and suppliers, and challenging the demand to support AXA GO strategy;
- Implement vendor risk framework and policies at AXA GO;
- Develop and use local & global Procurement tools;
- Develop responsible Procurement at AXA GO.
The department
Procurement Partnership is a department within Group Procurement. We aim to enhance Procurement function by leveraging ONE AXA voice with AXA Key Vendors, AXA GO divisions and departments and AXA entities.
Job purpose
As Head of Procurement Partnership, your objective is to elevate the procurement function by:
- Leading the enhancement of the Key Vendor Program to fully leverage AXA's scale, ensuring procurement discipline across vendor relationships, including the management of selected cross-category vendors;
- Proactively engaging with GO divisions and departments (Products & Markets) to address demands and develop effective sourcing strategies;
- Strengthening the One AXA engagement model by partnering with AXA Entities to collaboratively boost procurement value and scale whenever possible.
To achieve this objective, you will be supported by a team of 8 team members (inc. Sourcing Business Partners, Vendor Management Office leads and Key Vendor Managers).
Main missions
- Monitor, execute and develop Key vendor Program through the implementation of a Vendor Management Office and management of the Key Vendors Managers network. This includes pursuing the structuration of the Key Vendor Program and execution of Key Vendor Program activities (inc. governance execution, snapshot, sourcing pipeline, supplier event, etc.) but also designing strategy per vendor and identification of opportunities or partnerships (ex. GenAI);
- Actively manage and drive relationship with Key Vendors that the team oversees (Accenture, Microsoft, AWS, Shift and Databricks) to leverage One AXA;
- Engage upstream with GO product lines /business areas to optimize GO external spend. It includes ensuring business strategy is understood by Procurement team while Procurement process/ strategies (vendors and categories) are implemented/compatible with business strategy. It also includes facilitating smooth communication between your team and the category / GO procurement operations teams responsible for sourcing and negotiation;
- Actively define and execute GO multi-year savings plan (ex. Strat Plan);
- Implement an engagement model with main AXA entities (CPOs and procurement teams in entities) allowing leveraging the size of the Group.
Main KPI include:
- Key Vendor Program KPIs;
- Adoption S2C process and early engagement KPI;
- Entity CSAT result.

- Key Vendors AXA sponsors and executives;
- GO Head of Division, GO Product heads;
- Entity CPOs.
Your Profile
- Master Degree in Procurement or MBA level;
- Significant experience (>10 years) in Procurement with a significant experience in IT Procurement;
- Exposure to large, multi-country company with strong adaptability;
- Proven ability to work in a complex and decentralised environment;
- Leadership Skills: demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, with strong interest in people development.
Technical skills
- Experience in leading complex relationships with Suppliers;
- Exposure to technology and good understanding of IT;
- Building broad and mutually beneficial networks;
- Project and process mindset to build pragmatic yet structured frameworks and practices;
- Professional English (written and oral).
Soft skills / transversal skills
- Strong networking skills to interact with C-level contacts (within AXA or externally), engage in overall relationship activities, and represent AXA effectively;
- Proactive and driven individual with the ability to foster partnerships and opportunities with key vendor;
- Ability to identify and support opportunities to leverage One AXA and communicate escalations and successes effectively;
- Capacity to multitask and prioritize strategic activities.
