About the role:
The Head of Performance Marketing is a key member of Back Market's marketing leadership team. They will lead a team and oversee all performance marketing channels (SEM, social, mobile advertising, affiliates, video, display). This role offers the opportunity to significantly impact growth and profitability in a top-tier unicorn within the circular economy and ecommerce sectors, in an international environment. A strong background in digital performance marketing, analytics, technical skills, and leadership is essential.
YOUR MISSION (IF YOU ACCEPT IT):
- Own and manage performance marketing channels: SEM (Search ads and Google Shopping), social (Meta, TikTok, etc.), affiliates, YouTube, display, mobile advertising across 18+ countries in EU, US, and Asia.
- Manage a team of 5-10 marketing managers (internal and agencies).
- Lead measurement analysis with data analysts, including channel incrementality and elasticity/saturation/marginal efficiency.
- Initiate technical projects with product, engineering, growth hacking, and tracking teams to improve campaign effectiveness, including AI-driven innovations.
- Collaborate with finance and country managers to build and track budgets focused on growth and profitability.
- Work with leadership to analyze and improve growth and profitability metrics through regular reviews.
- Manage relationships with key media partners (Google, Meta, TikTok, Snap, Reddit, Pinterest, affiliates) and internal teams (creative studio, brand marketing).
- Develop team skills and foster a culture aligned with our mission to promote a circular economy.
YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE IF YOU HAVE:
- Fluent English (mandatory).
- Proven experience leading performance/direct response/PPC marketing teams in competitive industries, managing substantial marketing budgets, with experience in SEM and other performance channels.
- 10+ years in ecommerce, consulting, digital marketing, product roles in tech companies, or analytics.
- Strong analytical skills for deep dives into company/channel variances and measurement projects.
- Deep technical knowledge related to internet traffic, campaign management, bidding, and tracking to innovate and increase impact.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong leadership in developing marketing teams impacting company growth.
