Investment and hotel management company, specialized in the tourist accommodation sector with a portfolio of hotels in Europe.

Job Description

Management of the Local Office:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the company's office in Greece, ensuring that all local operations run smoothly.
  • Oversee employees and teams in the office.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the company's headquarters and the operations in Greece, representing the company in the country.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key parties, such as local authorities, government entities, service providers, and other relevant players in the hotel and investment industry.
  • Represent the company at events, conferences, and meetings with investors, partners, and key stakeholders in the Greek market.
  • Oversee the finances of the local office and hotel projects in Greece, including budget preparation, cost analysis, and profitability control.

Asset Management:

  • Oversee the performance of the hotel assets in the managed portfolio.
  • Monitor and manage the profitability of the hotels in the company's portfolio in Greece, ensuring revenue is maximized and operational costs are optimized.
  • Analyze the performance of each property using key indicators.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the performance of existing properties, such as renovations, service enhancements, pricing management optimization, and other operational aspects.
  • Develop and execute investment and renovation plans for properties that require them to increase their long-term value.
  • Collaborate with acquisition teams to evaluate and manage new investments in Greece, analyzing the local market and opportunities for acquiring hotel properties.
  • Manage the lifecycle of acquired properties, from acquisition to divestment, ensuring that assets are aligned with the company's investment strategy.
  • Develop long-term asset management strategies, working closely with senior management to align asset management with the company's overall objectives.
  • Prepare financial projections and conduct feasibility analysis for new hotel projects or renovations.
  • Coordinate with various internal teams (financial, operational, marketing) to effectively implement asset management strategies.
  • Work with auditors, consultants, and other external professionals in reviewing and improving asset management practices.
  • Ensure all hotel operations in Greece comply with local, national, and international regulations, including those related to sustainability, energy efficiency, and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
  • Manage sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of the hotels in the portfolio, aligning operations with the company's corporate policies.

The Successful Applicant

  • Previous experience in leadership positions within the hotel industry or a similar asset management role.
  • In-depth knowledge of the tourism and hotel sector in Greece, including market trends, local regulations, and customer dynamics.
  • Ability to manage budgets, perform financial analysis, and generate reports on asset performance.
  • Ability to manage and motivate diverse teams, both in the local office and at hotel properties.
  • Ability to develop and implement investment and asset management strategies that maximize hotel value and company profitability.
  • Fluent in Spanish and Greek is essential.
