Job Description:

Our Corporate Affairs team leads excellence in communications, public affairs, patient advocacy, and sustainability, ensuring that Ipsen’s brand and strategic objectives benefit our employees, patients, and society.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our team as the Head of Global Public Affairs and Advocacy for Neurosciences. This role is crucial in shaping healthcare systems, advocating for patients with neurological conditions, and enhancing access to innovation. The successful candidate will develop and implement Public Affairs & Advocacy (PAA) strategies that support Ipsen’s neurosciences portfolio, working cross-functionally with key stakeholders to drive meaningful change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a global Public Affairs & Advocacy strategy for the neurosciences portfolio, ensuring alignment with Ipsen’s corporate objectives.
  • Influence policy by engaging with governments, public authorities, healthcare decision-makers, and payers to position Ipsen as a key player in healthcare policy-making.
  • Develop and execute a stakeholder engagement plan to support access to Ipsen’s neurosciences medicines.
  • Represent Ipsen in international multi-stakeholder platforms, alliances, and advocacy groups to build strong partnerships and industry influence.

2. Cross-functional Leadership and Internal Collaboration

  • Serve as the Corporate Affairs representative within the Global Brand Teams and Asset Leadership Teams, providing strategic guidance and insights to executive leadership.
  • Drive integration of Public Affairs & Advocacy in business and policy decisions at a global level.
  • Partner with key internal functions including medical, market access, regulatory affairs, and marketing to ensure a cohesive approach to Ipsen’s neuroscience initiatives.

3. Policy Analysis and Environmental Shaping

  • Assess and map the policy landscape for Ipsen’s neurosciences portfolio, identifying opportunities for advocacy and access improvement.
  • Develop proactive strategies to navigate regulatory milestones, launch preparations, and address policy challenges that impact Ipsen’s neuroscience therapies.
  • Lead initiatives to shape the external environment in favor of better and faster patient access.

4. Capability and Capacity Building

  • Support key priority geographies in implementing local advocacy and public affairs initiatives.
  • Develop training programs and toolkits to enhance country teams’ capabilities in public affairs and advocacy.

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Corporate Affairs (Public/Governmental Affairs, Communications, or Patient Advocacy) with deep knowledge of the global health policy landscape.
  • Proven track record in launching new medicines globally and locally, as well as shaping healthcare environments to enhance patient access.
  • Experience in country-level Public Affairs or Market Access is a plus.
  • Extensive network and strong relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare and pharmaceutical sector.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
