Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as the strategic leader for the studio’s game division, setting the direction and growth in line with company goals.
- Represent the division internally and externally, cultivating relationships with clients and industry partners.
- Oversee multiple game projects, ensuring alignment with strategy and market trends.
- Develop and implement policies to standardize and optimize game development.
- Manage the division's budget and resource allocation.
- Drive innovation and foster an environment of creativity.
- Assess and manage risks associated with game projects.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team leaders, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Stay informed on market trends and emerging technologies.
- Maintain positive communication and teamwork within the team and across disciplines.
Qualifications
- Successful experience in shipping AAA games.
- Leadership experience in managing a game division or portfolio.
- Strategic thinking and long-term planning skills.
- Strong financial management skills.
- Inspirational leadership qualities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Knowledge of game development methodologies like SCRUM and Agile.
- Experience managing large teams and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Understanding of proprietary tools and processes in gaming.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, Business, or related fields.
- Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
