An international beverage company is seeking a Head of Finance to oversee financial operations for Havana Club. This position requires strong IFRS knowledge, fluency in Spanish, and at least 7 years of finance experience. Job aim

Manage the financial results of Havana Club International (HCI) for Pernod Ricard and participate in key strategic projects of the company.

In direct collaboration with all departments of the company, he/she will have to organize the financial calendar to meet all Pernod Ricard Group reporting deadlines (finance & operations) as well as HCI internal deadlines (4 shareholders /board meetings held annually).

To do so he/she will rely on 1 financial analyst & 2 VIEs (1 based in HCI main office in La Habana, 1 working in Ronera San José production plan – 50km from La Habana) and will work in collaboration with local finance teams and Havana Club Finance teams based in Paris.

Scope and perimeter

o This position will interact directly with HCI CODI, all HCI teams, HQ finance & Operations teams

o Number of people to manage (direct / indirect): 1 FTE & 2 VIE

o Mains interlocutors outside the Group Pernod Ricard: external auditors & consultants

Your missions

  • Lead HCI financial reporting process, covering all indicators: full P&L, B/S, Cash. Drive rolling forecast process. Explain variances, mitigate risks via R&O, and ensure financial targets are met. Be the main point of contact for Pernod Ricard concerning HCI figures
  • Lead finance analyses and prepare Finance section of Shareholders / Board meetings supporting presentation (4 times a year) with emphasis on hard currency P&L and cash management, highlighting options for HCI to comply with its commitments in the frame of financing agreements with Pernod Ricard (control of Pernod Ricard financial exposure)
  • Work on Cuban market hard currency cash generation & profitability optimization in collaboration with local commercial team
  • Lead preparation of 3-y cash capex and strategic inventories plan, supporting Strategic Cash review process. Implement a strong follow-up of capex and maturing inventories in the frame of San José ronera extension.
  • Supervise operations reporting, explain YoY variances and identify/assess areas of improvement with logistic and Operation VPs. Prepare yearly presentation of Industrial Performance Review.
  • Lead preparation of Operations performance meetings and Strategic Cash review, defining Havana Club overall industrial strategy (footprint, ageing inventories) and long-term Capex plan (ROCE calculation), in collaboration with Operations VP
  • Lead the company's cross-functional and strategic projects
  • Other: Insurance, NPD costing and development costs follow-up, Transformation projects…

Responsibilities and performance criteria

Performance criteria: Complete the missions described above with the soft skills required + specific objectives stated at the beginning of the year for each team member regarding transversal projects or specific tasks.

What you will need

Technical skills

  • IFRS accounting skills (bridge from Cuban GAAP to IFRS to perform)
  • Knowledge of financial reporting (P&L, Balance sheet & Cash Flow statement)
  • Financial analysis
  • Proficiency with all IT tools (Excel processing, IT tools)

Management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills are critical, very strong human skills are needed in an emotionally rich environment, where the ability to coordinate and integrate departments and to gain trust and support from local teams is key to the mission

Language

  • Exclusive Spanish work environment. As such, good level of Spanish is a fundamental requirement. English needed for all group reporting and collaboration

Education

  • Top Engineer's or Top Business school/ master’s degree

Work experience

  • at least 7 years of experience including leading Audit Consulting Firm with assignments in major companies and/or other major functions in finance.
