Job Description:

Ipsen is building its new Global Data & AI division — a central hub to unlock the power of data and artificial intelligence across the entire organization. Join us and shape the technical strategy that powers advanced analytics and AI solutions to deliver business value and innovation at scale.

Your key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and govern the technical strategy for enterprise advanced analytics and AI, aligned with Ipsen’s business Data & AI strategy.
• Lead development of robust, scalable AI capabilities, standards, and best practices that comply with internal policies and external regulations.
• Collaborate deeply with business domains to understand needs and deliver impactful data/AI solutions.
• Provide technical leadership for AI and advanced analytics initiatives across their full lifecycle: feasibility, MVP, scaling, deployment, and maintenance.
• Oversee seamless integration of AI models into systems and ensure their deployment and monitoring in production environments.
• Evaluate and support the adoption of third-party AI solutions to enhance efficiency and innovation.
• Develop and monitor metrics to measure performance and business impact of AI initiatives; regularly report insights to senior leadership.
• Lead the Data Science & AI Center of Excellence, fostering a vibrant engineering community and promoting data science capabilities across Ipsen.
• Manage and mentor a team of data scientists, data engineers, and AI engineers, encouraging continuous learning and adoption of new technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, data, platform engineering) to deliver successful AI products.
• Manage vendor relationships and procurement to support strategic objectives.

Your profile & expertise

• 10+ years of experience in data science, AI, or related fields, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Proven experience leading data science and AI teams, ideally in pharma or healthcare.
• Extensive experience developing internal AI products and integrating third-party AI solutions.
• Expert in Data Science, AI (ML, Deep Learning, NLP, Generative AI, LLMs).
• Proficient in ML/DL frameworks (Scikit-learn, PyTorch, MLflow).
• Skilled in data analysis (Pandas), transformation (DBT), and data management.
• Proficient in cloud services (Azure, AWS, Databricks).
• Experienced in programming (Python, R, SQL), Agile methodology, and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence).
• Capable in solution architecture, change management, and UX/UI design.
• Fluent in English (mandatory).
