Job Description:

Reporting to the RSAL Business Development Director (Europe), this role is responsible for executing the business development strategy in the French marketplace by creating optimal trading conditions to meet our profitable growth targets. You will serve as the primary relationship manager for broker management activities in France, focusing on generating new business and retaining key accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the country distribution plan to support the European strategy by leading broker presentations.
  • Identify opportunities for profitable new business and retention through relationship leveraging, research, and analysis across multiple specialty units.
  • Manage profitability through broker management, development, and planning; lead broker review processes and manage broker compensation strategies.
  • Build internal partnerships with underwriters, claims, and risk control teams; educate on broker relationships and marketing opportunities.
  • Act as the primary Relationship Manager, managing broker activities, prospecting new agencies, activating new appointments, and revitalizing existing brokers, including terminating contracts when necessary.
  • Anticipate broker needs, analyze trends, and implement proactive strategies; communicate underwriting appetite and generate qualified business opportunities.
  • Develop new program opportunities and launch new business segments; enhance cross-selling opportunities within the franchise.
  • Maintain expertise in underwriting guidelines and company operations across the franchise.
  • Travel regularly to key brokers and monitor regional competition and activities, providing feedback for strategic positioning.
  • Lead market management activities to improve net debt, pipeline, credit control, and policy issuance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, participate in events, and represent the company in industry committees.
  • Collaborate with Trading Directors to achieve business targets through ongoing development and oversight.
  • Lead data and insight initiatives to provide comprehensive broker performance views.
  • Ensure effective oversight of control environments in collaboration with relevant functions.
  • Drive and execute Key Client Plans to strengthen engagement and retention of key accounts.
