Givaudan in Pomacle (near Reims), France, invites a leader to head the Biological Evaluation team. The role focuses on scientific excellence, regulatory compliance, and strategic alignment with R&D, marketing, and business aims.

You will lead a multidisciplinary group of scientists, define roadmaps, and oversee laboratory evaluation platforms while ensuring IRB governance and high-quality documentation.

Qualifications

• PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology with strong leadership experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a scientific leadership role.
• Broad knowledge of skin biology and cellular/molecular mechanisms.
• Fluency in English and French.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of scientists.
• Define and manage department budgets and investment plans, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
• Develop and implement the strategic roadmap for biological evaluation within S&T.
• Oversee the design and execution of biological test protocols and laboratory evaluation platforms.
• Supervise the creation of scientific documentation (articles, reviews, and technical reports).
• Represent Givaudan’s biological evaluation capabilities to internal and external customers.
• Ensure regulatory compliance under relevant frameworks (including Loi Jardé and GDPR), serving as a member of the Institutional Review Board (IRB).

As Head of Biological Evaluation, you will lead a team of scientific experts responsible for evaluating the biological properties of ingredients developed by Givaudan.

Your work will ensure scientific excellence, regulatory compliance, and meaningful alignment with our commercial, marketing, and R&D strategies.

The position reports to our R&D Director, and is based in Pomacle (15 km from Reims), France.

Your Role

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of scientists.

Your Profile

• You have a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology
• Minimum of 5 years in a similar scientific leadership position within a comparable sector.
• Broad knowledge of skin biology and cellular/molecular mechanisms.
• Strong command of biological evaluation tools and methodologies.
• Fluency in English and French
• Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional communication skills; proven ability to foster collaboration across teams.
