Join us as Head of Banking Operations (Juridical), in Paris, to lead and transform our Banking Operations Juridical team while minimizing operational losses and scaling efficiently across 4 new European markets. You will drive process optimization, break down silos, and leverage automation to support Qonto's rapid growth. As Head of Banking Operations (Juridical) , you will work closely with Amaury , our AML, Fraud & Banking Ops Director , and lead a team of 3 Team Leads, 1 expert, and 14 individual contributors across Paris and Barcelona, plus ~20 external partners. The operational excellence and risk management systems you'll implement will directly impact every customer interaction and transaction within our payment institution.

Responsibilities
  • Scale operations across multiple countries with strong growth while maintaining service quality and reducing reliance on external providers
  • Minimize operational and financial losses by implementing robust processes and controls to ensure sustainable growth and manage credit impact
  • Optimize cost-to-serve through process redesign, automation initiatives and better outsourcing strategy driving efficiency without compromising risk management or customer satisfaction
  • Unify fragmented procedures (, account closure) by breaking down silos between Juridical and Account Management teams to create seamless customer experiences
  • Lead and develop a distributed team of internal members and external partners, fostering leadership capabilities and maintaining strong engagement

About Your Future Manager
  • His path? Amaury brings 8+ years of fintech and banking expertise. He started in private equity at Bpifrance, moved to financial services consulting, then scaled operations at fintech startup elyps. Since joining Qonto in 2021, he's grown from Head of Banking Operations to Operations Director.
  • What he can bring to the team? Amaury combines strategic thinking with hands‑on operational excellence. His diverse background from traditional finance to cutting‑edge fintech gives him unique insights into regulatory compliance and product innovation. He excels at building efficient processes while maintaining the highest standards of fraud prevention and compliance in fast‑growing environments.
About You
  • Strategic Operations Leadership : 5+ years in banking operations / management with a consulting, or fintech / banking background. Experience leading process optimization and managing distributed teams of 15+ people.
  • Multi‑Market Scaling : Proven experience scaling operations across multiple countries while maintaining quality and compliance standards in complex regulatory environments.
  • Process Optimization & Risk Management : Expert at analyzing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing cost reduction initiatives while maintaining strict risk controls in regulated environments.
  • Cross‑Functional Stakeholder Management : Strong experience collaborating with Legal, Regulatory, Risk, and Customer Care teams. Ability to influence without direct authority and build consensus across competing priorities.
  • Change Management & Automation : Experience implementing digital transformation projects, breaking down silos, and driving adoption of new technologies. AI / automation experience in operations is a plus.
  • Languages : Fluent English required; French proficiency is an advantage.
