Qualifications

• 5+ ans d'expérience comptable progressive avec des rôles de supervision.

• Parfaitement bilingue en français et en anglais.

Le Wagon is scaling fast, and our Finance team is at the heart of that journey. We’re now hiring a Head of Accounting to help strengthen our global financial operations.

Job Summary:

Reporting to the CFO, the Head of Accounting will oversee two general accountants and will work closely with the accounting teams of our 7 subsidiaries to supervise and ensure the accuracy of their accounts. The Head of Accounting will also collaborate closely with our FP&A Manager to ensure alignment between accounting and financial planning activities.

Accountable for the preparation and review of the Group and subsidiaries' financial statements, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance with applicable standards.

You will provide strategic financial insights, all while ensuring compliance with the related country standards and regulations.

Your Mission is in 4 areas :

Accounting Operations:

• Oversee the accounts payables, accounts receivables, and accounting team functions with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ensure that significant cut-offs are properly executed and justified.
• Review monthly expenses and perform monthly revenue reconciliation.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to support our growing organization.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with precision and care.
• Coordinate with CPA’s for externalized accounting.
• Drive internal team’s tasks and anticipate potential delays.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with each country rules & other regulatory requirements.
• Have a continuous communication with FP&A to ensure the level of information shared

Team Leadership:

• Supervise, mentor, and support the growth of our general accountants
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment where team members feel valued and empowered.
• Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for your team.

Internal Controls and Process Improvement:

• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard our company’s assets and reputation.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure alignment and compliance with internal policies and regulations, including tax regulations, social security contributions, and other statutory requirements.
• Identify and lead initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our accounting operations.
• Stay current with industry best practices and technology trends to continuously improve our processes.

This role is for you if:

• You have a strong background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or French equivalent certification (e.g., Diplôme d'Expertise Comptable) is a plus.
• You have 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory roles. Experience with French accounting practices and compliance is essential.
• You have proficiency in accounting software (knowledge of Odoo is a plus)
• You have excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• You are a strong leader with team management and interpersonal skills
• You are detailed and enjoy working on international teams !
• You speak both French & English professionally
