Qualifications

Overview

Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider making data faster and safer, is seeking to hire an exceptional full-time Design Integrator and Tester to join our PCIe / CXL Validation team in Aix-en-Provence, France. In this role, you will be working with some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world developing products that make data faster and safer.

As a Design Integrator and Tester, you’ll play a pivotal role in RAMBUS brand new IPs integration on the latest FPGA technologies allowing to show our IPs are silicon proven.

This full-time position will allow the candidate to develop reference designs for Rambus IPs, custom designs for customers’ needs and innovative demos for trade shows.

The role will involve simulation of the designs, synthesis, timing closure and integration in Hardware using cutting edge FPGA (Agilex-I / Virtex-Ultrascale+ / Versal Premium) pushed to their limit. This also involves in-system debug on advanced server platforms.

In this full-time role, you’ll report directly to our Hardware Validation Manager. Our Hardware Validation team is dedicated to proving our IPs are functional in real environments, which is the last milestone before we can deliver high quality products to our customers, and your contributions will be instrumental in integrating and validating latest Rambus Soft IPs.

Rambus offers a flexible work environment, embracing a hybrid approach for most office-based roles. Employees are encouraged to spend an average of at least three days per week onsite, allowing for two days of remote work.

Responsibilities

• Define reference design / example architectures to best demonstrate features of Rambus PCIe / CXL controller IP
• Develop (Verilog) these designs
• Perform simulation with various simulators
• Perform FPGA synthesis implementation flow
• Perform timing closure
• Manage SLR crossing
• Perform HW Test and debug on cutting edge platforms
• Integration of Real Time Operating Systems on FPGA/SOC CPUs (Versal Premium)
• Development (RTL, Hardware, software) of innovative demos and represent Rambus on Tradeshows

Qualifications

• Bac +4/+5 or more in Electrical science, Computer science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience with RTL Design in FPGA and hardware integration
• Good English skills, communication skills, and willingness to work with an international team.

• RTL Simulation: Questa / VCS / NCSIM
• FPGA flows: Vivado / Quartus
• Timing closure, debugging: Verilog (Quartus/Vivado)
• RTOS skills on last generation SOC (Versal Premium)
