Stellantis in Paris is seeking a Senior Hardware Architect for Advanced Engineering to define and evolve hardware architectures for next-generation embedded systems in IVI. You will design high-performance, scalable, secure platforms and collaborate with cross-functional teams to hit quality and cost targets.

Responsibilities include contributing to architecture decisions, optimizing platform architectures, and coordinating with Software, Systems, Purchasing, Safety and Cybersecurity—plus

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree or Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in Hardware Architecture, System Architecture, or Complex Systems Design.
  • Strong knowledge of ARM architectures and MCU/SoC interfaces.
  • Knowledge of ISO 26262 and NCAP.
  • Ability to design robust, secure, high-performance architectures with testing and validation.

Responsabilités

  • Contribute to hardware architecture decisions by integrating requirements from multiple stakeholders.
  • Define and optimize overall platform architectures and allocation of functions across system components.
  • Ensure the performance, scalability, reliability, and security of proposed solutions.
  • Develop and drive the implementation of HPC platforms for IVI systems from concept through production launch.
  • Ensure achievement of cost, quality, and technical maturity targets.
  • Collaborate with Software, Systems, Purchasing, Functional Safety, and Cybersecurity teams to define the technology roadmap.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with semiconductor suppliers to understand technologies and supply chains.
  • Lead technical discussions with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers to ensure clear requirements and performance expectations.
  • Participate in design reviews and validation activities to secure architectural decisions and robustness.

Mission

Within the Advanced Engineering teams, you will contribute to the definition and evolution of hardware architectures for next-generation embedded systems. You will participate in the design of high-performance, scalable, secure, reusable, and cost-effective solutions while ensuring the highest levels of quality.

You will play a key role in the development of High-Performance Computing (HPC) platforms dedicated to Infotainment & Vehicle Intelligence (IVI), working closely with cross-functional engineering teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to hardware architecture decisions by integrating requirements from multiple stakeholders.
  • Participate in the definition and optimization of overall platform architectures and the allocation of functions across system components.
  • Ensure the performance, scalability, reliability, and security of the proposed solutions.
  • Develop and drive the implementation of HPC (High-Performance Computing) platforms for IVI systems, from concept definition through production launch.
  • Ensure achievement of cost, quality, and technical maturity targets.
  • Collaborate with Software, Systems, Purchasing, Functional Safety, and Cybersecurity teams to define and execute the technology roadmap.
  • Establish and maintain strong technical relationships with semiconductor suppliers to understand their technologies, roadmaps, and supply chains.
  • Lead technical discussions with Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, ensuring a clear understanding of requirements and expected performance.
  • Participate in design reviews and validation activities to secure architectural decisions and solution robustness.
Candidate Profile
Education
  • Master's Degree or Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
Technical Skills
  • Experience in Hardware Architecture, System Architecture, or Complex Systems Design.
  • Strong knowledge of advanced hardware systems and MCU / SoC interfaces.
  • Solid understanding of communication interfaces and associated components: (Memory, Storage, Ethernet, USB, PCIe)
  • Good knowledge of ARM architectures.
  • Strong understanding of embedded electronics constraints and design considerations.
  • Knowledge of advanced Electrical & Electronic (E/E) architectures, system/component architectures, and topologies.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 26262 and NCAP.
  • Knowledge of embedded technologies including: (Displays, Cameras, Firmware, Ethernet & CAN, CPU / GPU / NPU platforms, Image Processing, Audio Processing)
  • Ability to design robust, secure, and high-performance architectures while integrating testing and validation activities.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in the Automotive, Aerospace, Defense, or Industrial sectors is highly desirable.
