The Hallgarten Apprenticeship Programme is an 18-month initiative designed to develop new talent within the wine industry, providing a comprehensive perspective of the sector from vineyard to table.
A Head Start apprentice will experience all aspects of the Hallgarten & Novum Wines business, including time at the head office in Luton with customer services, finance, marketing, and brand management teams, as well as hands-on harvest experience with one of the company’s key European partners. The programme aims to give the apprentice total visibility of the Hallgarten & Novum business, allowing them insight into the financial, strategic, and commercial aspects of the company.
Hallgarten & Novum Wines is one of the UK’s leading specialist wine merchants, with over 90 years of experience importing wines from producers worldwide. We supply the UK On and Off Trade sectors and are the Official Wine Supplier to Ascot, Royal Ascot, and Goodwood. In 2018, we achieved ISO 14001 accreditation for our dedication to minimizing environmental impact and met all criteria to attain the Silver ‘Investors in People’ accreditation in 2023.

The successful candidate will need to commute to Luton (Capability Green Junction 10 M1) for the duration of the apprenticeship. The start date is September 2024.
