Description du poste

Timeleft is more than an app : it’s a revolution against loneliness in big cities. Our unique concept of dinners with strangers has quickly become a weekly highlight in major cities, offering real human connection.

Every Wednesday, we bring together over 30,000 strangers to share a meal, in over +200 cities in 53 countries. As we expand our reach, we invite dynamic people to join us on this adventure.

We’re a fast-growing team building a truly data-driven culture. Using a modern stack (BigQuery, DBT, PostHog, AppsFlyer, Lightdash, Dagster), we turn raw data into real-world impact, on product, marketing, operations, and growth. You'll be working with our Head of Data & Strategy and a Senior Analytics Engineer , in direct collaboration with teams across the company.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING ?

We’re looking for a Growth Analytics Engineer who loves turning data into action. You’ll sit at the intersection of data and growth, helping us understand how users discover Timeleft, engage with the product, and keep coming back for more.

This role is for someone who’s analytical but also business-minded , comfortable owning pipelines, but just as excited about influencing strategy.

Core Responsibilities :

  • Cross-team Collaboration : Partner with marketing, product, ops, and engineering teams to translate business challenges into data strategies and insights—particularly those tied to acquisition, engagement, retention, and LTV. Discover the holistic narratives in our data using tooling and insights across domains.
  • Analytics Engineering : Take ownership of the data pipelines you work with the most. Maintain them according to DBT best practices. Collaborate with the data team in evolving mature data pipelines.
  • Analysis & Insights : Analyze clean and dirty datasets across business functions to surface trends, anomalies, and optimization levers.
  • Experimentation : Propose and facilitate experiments to accelerate sustainable revenue creation.
  • Reporting & Visualization : Design and maintain clear, actionable dashboards using tools like Lightdash and PostHog. Frequently share quality reports with stakeholders.
  • Tooling & Automations : Utilize internal tools and explore ways to automate recurring tasks, enabling scalable data access for everyone.
  • Forecasting & Modeling : Contribute to growth forecasts and predictive models. A background in statistics is a plus, but strong learning appetite is just as important.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

Must-Haves

  • Strong SQL (joins, CTEs, window functions, data cleaning).
  • Experience with a modern data stack (DBT, BigQuery, GitHub).
  • Comfortable presenting insights to both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Familiarity with BI tools and Google Sheets.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-Haves (or Ready-to-Learn)

  • Reverse ETL tools and APIs
  • Understanding of growth funnels and retention metrics
  • Experience building small internal tools
  • Previous work with product or marketing teams

Experience

  • 3+ years in a data / BI role, ideally in a tech company (SaaS, eCommerce, consumer app).
  • Degree in a quantitative field is a plus—but not a deal-breaker.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU ?

  • A front-row seat in an exciting, fast-growing start-up.
  • Employee stock options.
  • Be part of the data team and report direct to the Head of Data & Strategy
  • The opportunity to develop your position and responsibilities as Timeleft grows.
  • Take part in Timeleft dinners and see for yourself the impact we have on people's lives.
  • Help fight the loneliness epidemic in big cities.

We keep things simple, fast, and focused :

  • Resume Screening : w e review your linkedin to see if there’s a potential match.
  • Intro Call (30 mins) : A quick conversation to align on the role, your goals, and present the case study.
  • Case Study Presentation (60 mins) : You’ll present your work to the data team. This is where we dive into your technical skills and how you approach real-world problems.
  • CEO Interview : A conversation with our CEO about values, expectations, and vision. We'll also talk compensation and answer any final questions you may have.

Ps : We are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible .
