Within the Group, you will join the Group Tax Department (GTD). This team includes 11 professionals plus two trainees, that are ultimately under the responsibility of the Global Head of Tax who reports to the Group CFO. The tax expert will report to the Deputy Head of Tax, who mainly deals with international and transformation topics, and reports directly into the Global Head of Tax. GTD is divided into two sub teams, one in charge of advisory activities specifically on international topics, another one in charge of tax accounting and tax transparency topics. The French tax topics remain under the direct responsibility of the Global Head of Tax.

Within this Department, you will be part of the Advisory Team.

Your job and daily missions :

1.The main purpose of the role consists in monitoring and providing support to the tax teams in different locations or units, plus dealing with topics which require a degree of technical specialization.

2.Some of the common missions that the role involves in relation with locations is organizing follow-up monthly calls and visits, as well as understand the main tax topics and properly monitor them supporting the local tax teams in its interaction with Group and to take appropriate decisions which are aligned with Group tax guidelines. In addition, there may be M&A transactions in the different locations in which it is needed to proactively participate in the tax team.

Further to technical topics, the role requires the yearly implementation of the VAT grouping regime and participating if needed in tax audits as well as elaborate tax reports on technical questions.

Your Profile

Let’s talk about you:

List here the requirements for the position. Concentrate on the must-haves:

§2 to 5 years of professional experience in a tax role, if possible, with good knowledge on French indirect tax topics and some international tax exposure. The experience may be either in a law/accounting firm or in a big corporation, preferrable from the finance or insurance industry.

§Degree in Law or Economics with a master/postgraduate in taxation.

§The person must like working in international team environments, have good communication skills, a strong sense of service, pragmatic approach, good analytical skills and very focused on the achievement of results.

§Appetite to explore and use new technologies (, AI) to perform the tasks inherent to the role.

§Strong in English oral and written skills and valuable knowledge in a third language, in addition to French.
