Role Description and Responsibilities

The mission for the Global Solution Architect (GSA) is to act as the chief architect for strategic consulting efforts within the North American (NAM) GEO by collaborating with customer accounts and Dassault Systèmes' (DS) internal ecosystem to develop strategic roadmaps of DS solutions and process experiences ( 3D EXPERIENCE platform) enabling customers to achieve their business objectives. Working with expert Business Consultants, the GSA will draft, validate, and propose account solution architectures, aligning and articulating the business value to DS’s strategic customers.

The Industry Process Consultant (IPC) organization within DS is seeking a NAM GSA for their strategic consulting team to support and represent our GEOs customers’ needs by defining, aligning, and validating proposed system processes and solutions that demonstrate and deliver value through DS’ Value Engagement (VE) processes. The GSA will utilize relationships with strategic customers and industry partners to articulate necessary business solutions and their evolution to support current business environments. Responsibilities also include educating DS sales teams on new strategies and technologies, supporting strategic roadmap development, and providing key communications to facilitate business growth and customer interaction evolution. A successful GSA should possess in-depth knowledge of current and emerging trends in target industries with DS solutions, collaborating across DS organizations to ensure continuity from strategy to delivery.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Define integrated global solutions that enable the customer to execute its business strategy, covering entire business processes with expected value while ensuring solution relevance and workability.
  • Contribute to achieving the customer’s business objectives using the 3DEXPERIENCE platform aligned with the customer’s Industry Business Challenge.
  • Promote SaaS Cloud solutions first, considering market trends.
  • Operate and orchestrate solution engineering from vision to delivery using VE processes.
  • Bridge customer business processes and DS solutions/technologies through VE.
  • Develop a TO-BE architectural vision with customers, including business capabilities, processes, use cases, storyboards, and enterprise landscape.
  • Define and manage architectural and data models for enterprise solutions with customers.
  • Assess customer opportunities for feasibility, value, and risks.
  • Assist Business Consultants in identifying and capturing customer business values.
  • Challenge and transform customer business processes for value creation.
  • Manage relationships with extended DS organizations (R&D, Services, etc.) in strategic customer contexts.
  • Define or review global solution architectures leveraging DS know-how, emphasizing value, feasibility, and delivery effort.
  • Establish best practices for solution architecture reuse across multiple engagements.

Qualifications

  • Engineering Degree (or equivalent) with 5+ years’ experience in global solution architecture for PLM or similar enterprise solutions, focusing on system architecture and design.
  • Knowledge of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform or similar enterprise PLM software.
  • Experience with Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (like TOGAF) and tools such as CAMEO, Rhapsody.
  • Experience in business transformation engagements.
  • Knowledge of business processes in domains like engineering, manufacturing, quality, program management, aftermarket, etc.
  • Deep understanding of industry standards and processes across sectors like automotive, high-tech, life sciences, aerospace.
  • Experience with software project delivery lifecycle, including on-premise and SaaS cloud solutions.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic, analytical, and high problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to rapidly adopt new knowledge, practices, tools, and processes.
