Position : Division Global Sales & Business Development Leader – Clutches & Brakes Division

Scope of Leadership Role :
The Clutches & Brakes Division of the Industrial Powertrain Solutions (IPS) Segment is seeking a Global Sales & Business Development Leader to drive the profitable growth of a $650M global business across all strategic vertical markets and regions. This role oversees a team of BDM specialists who establish relationships in new market segments and support new product launches within the global sales organization. The position also involves developing training and competency programs for the clutch and brake portfolio in collaboration with the IPS commercial excellence team.
Key Responsibilities :
Responsibility for C&B global Sales & BDM Performance :
- Manage sales of C&B products in targeted markets, directly or through the RRX Commercial Sales organization, including cross-selling to end users, distributors, contractors, and OEMs globally and locally.
- Coordinate with key C&B personnel to align market strategies across Brand, Marketing, Product Management, Finance, Engineering, and Design teams.
- Secure customer specifications and preferences for Regal Rexnord's full Clutches & Brakes portfolio in designated markets.
- Oversee sales responsibilities within specialized distribution channels.
Interface with the Global Matrixed Sales Organization :
- Drive profitable market share growth at key accounts, segments (e.g., Metals, Mining, Marine, Aero & Defense), regions (e.g., NA, EMEA, APAC), and within specific portions of the portfolio.
- Support share gain activities at top strategic accounts and identify new prospects, including supporting SAE/AE activities for growth.
- Collaborate with Commercial Operations to implement Salesforce procedures for activity documentation and tracking.
- Manage and grow the top account opportunity funnel by leveraging new and differentiated products.
- Assist sales teams in strategic account development and ensure alignment of offerings and functions.
- Develop strategic relationships with high-potential end users.
- Partner with the field service team to enhance capacity and increase product sales.
- Act as a solution expert, leading value propositions, technical presentations, customer visits, webinars, and specification activities, becoming a trusted advisor.
- Create customer value propositions and deploy them through various channels and sales enablement tools.
- Provide technical support to sales teams, channel partners, and customers.
- Capture Voice-of-Customer insights to inform new product development and market strategies.
Leadership over the BDM Team :
- Lead a team of approximately 10 Business Development Managers responsible for global markets and regional sales.
- Provide coaching and leadership to enhance team performance.
- Use a business calendar to manage performance, deliverables, and strategic meetings.
Strategic Planning and Alignment :
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies and identify growth opportunities.
- Serve as an intellectual partner to the Sr. VP on strategic initiatives.
- Contribute to OEM and vertical market strategies.
- Participate in product planning, roadmaps, and regional market input, including trends, regulations, and competitor analysis.
- Manage strategic database releases and validate assumptions with marketing.
- Coordinate with engineering and product management on strategic plans.
- Conduct strategic target review sessions with central sales teams.
Professional Experience / Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical experience.
- Strategic thinking and go-to-market experience.
- Technical aptitude with knowledge of Rexnord solutions.
- Experience in strategy and budget planning across multiple divisions and products.
- Willingness to travel 40-60%.
- Customer-focused with high expectations and strong communication skills.
- Ability to find win-win solutions and demonstrate initiative with a positive attitude.
- Proficiency in Office 365 and familiarity with Kaizen, Lean, and 80/20 methodologies.
