The Global Product Manager Enzymes works in close collaboration with the Global Category Manager to develop and execute the strategy and business plan for the respective Product Line. This role is responsible for overseeing both operational and strategic product management, coordinating implementation activities, and providing operational guidance to ensure the success of the Product Line. Key responsibilities include managing the growth and profitability of the Product Line, overseeing the product lifecycle, optimizing cost and quality, and defining innovation initiatives to meet both short-term and long-term targets.

The Global Product Manager collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with the strategic direction set with the Global Category Manager and contributes to effective market execution and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  1. Product Line and Portfolio Strategy:
    • Develop and implement strategies in collaboration with various teams.
    • Ensure cost competitiveness and product availability.
  2. Product Lifecycle Management:
    • Manage product launches, updates, and discontinuations.
    • Maintain accurate product data and documentation.
    • Initiate partnerships with external partners to strengthen competitiveness and innovation.
  3. Forecasting and Planning Support:
    • Coordinate product demand forecasts and production planning.
    • Contribute to long-term product forecasts.
    • Represent the category in the SIOP committee.
  4. Pricing and Cost Optimization:
    • Define and implement global pricing guidelines.
    • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
    • Improve product cost structure and ensure profitability.
  5. Sales and Customer Support:
    • Provide product expertise, training, and materials to sales teams.
    • Address operational product inquiries and engage with strategic customers.
  6. Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
    • Lead cross-functional initiatives for product and service innovation.
    • Track product performance metrics and support continuous improvement.
  7. Market and Competitive Analysis:
    • Gather and analyze competitive intelligence.
    • Prepare market updates to guide strategic decisions.

Qualifications

Work experience:

  • Background in feed or pharma industry
  • Experience in BtoB product management
  • International experience
  • Project management and cross-functional coordination experience, familiar with matrix organizations
  • English required, additionally French and/or Dutch and/or Spanish and/or Chinese would be a strong plus
