The Arkema Group seeks a seasoned Product Manager to lead a global product line from design through end-of-life, driving commercial and financial performance, innovation and portfolio optimization.

You will collaborate with R&D, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to define the development roadmap, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver sustainable product solutions while guiding strategic projects and asset management.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of experience in Product Management, Project Management and/or Sales & Marketing.
• Experience in chemical or adhesives industry preferred.
• Fluency in English; French/Dutch an advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with Stage-Gate processes and new product development.

Reporting to the Global Sealing & Bonding Product Line Management Director,the successful candidate is responsible for managing a product line throughout its entire life cycle, from design to end-of-life, driving commercial and financial performance, innovation, portfolio optimization, and the execution of strategic Business Unit projects.

Product Range Management

Own and manage the global product portfolio, ensuring consistency, complexity optimization, regional availability, raw material compliance, and support for cost reduction initiatives. Drive portfolio harmonization across regions while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and certifications. Serve as the central point of contact for the product line and facilitate effective cross-functional collaboration. Lead task forces and crisis management activities involving multiple functions, including supply chain disruptions and major customer claims. Ensure alignment between business growth plans and production capacities, support product phase-in/phase-out activities, and validate manufacturing feasibility of new product ranges. Contribute to sales and marketing support materials and promote sustainability initiatives across the portfolio. Provide ad hoc support to PIT teams regarding data management.

Margin Optimization & Cost Reduction

Develop and maintain product cost benchmarking analyses across Arkema sites and external competitors. Drive profitability growth by identifying and implementing cost optimization initiatives, including raw material qualification, supplier diversification, make-versus-buy evaluations, and process improvements. Support inventory optimization efforts and make decisions regarding the disposition of non-performing stock.

New Product Development

Define and maintain the product development roadmap in line with evolving market trends, regulatory requirements, customer needs, and cost structures. Support CSR-related initiatives and sustainability objectives through product development activities. Validate customer-driven product modifications throughout the development lifecycle. Approve the creation of new raw materials, products, and packaging solutions while ensuring the accuracy of product master data. Approve final product specifications prior to commercialization.

Key Project Management

Lead a portfolio of strategic projects involving multiple stakeholders, including R&D, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams. Coordinate cross-functional project execution and present progress and recommendations during steering committee and stage-gate reviews. Ensure the successful advancement and delivery of key initiatives within the product range, including industrial projects. Act as crisis manager when required to address operational, manufacturing, supply, or raw material issues.

Asset Management

Drive sourcing and manufacturing strategies to optimize profitability and asset utilization globally. Define and implement approaches for internal asset management and the use of external suppliers. Monitor production capacities, identify potential bottlenecks, and coordinate mitigation plans with Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams. Approve external supply costs in collaboration with GASP and support supplier management activities. Sponsor the resolution of product quality issues, oversee corrective action plans, and ensure appropriate customer communication. Lead changes to production parameters, processes, and procedures to address technical constraints and improve product quality.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree and has 5 to 8 years of experience in Product Management, Project Management and/or Sales & Marketing, preferably within the chemical or adhesives industry.

Fluency in English is required, while French and/or Dutch would be an advantage.

The candidate demonstrates strong product management and marketing expertise, excellent leadership, communication and project management skills, and the ability to thrive in cross-functional and multicultural environments.

He/she is a proactive and results-driven professional, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively, influencing stakeholders without direct authority, and driving business performance through strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with Stage-Gate processes and new product development projects is also required.
