CEVA Logistics in Courbevoie, France, is seeking a Procurement expert specializing in ocean carriers. You will manage pricing for CiC and RORO, negotiate spot and contract offers, and secure cost-efficient solutions while maintaining strong carrier relationships.

The role requires 8–10 years in logistics, mastery of ocean transport, and fluency in English and French. You will report to Global Procurement and work within CEVA’s transnational supply chain network.

Qualifications

• Master degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Science/Engineering.
• Experience in logistics, supply chain, or transport management (8–10 years).
• Proven knowledge of ocean transportation and FVL operations.
• Strong MS Office proficiency.

Responsabilités

• Supports solution design for rate procurement from liner/carrier within customer deadlines.
• Negotiates short- and long-term contract offers (spot or tender) with ocean carriers.
• Ensures cost-effective conditions and solutions with ocean carriers, aligned with market trends.
• Ensures best service routing and transit time conditions.
• Maintains communication with stakeholders (carriers, Solution Design, Operations) and strict adherence to global deadlines.
• Builds reporting with Global procurement and SD Manager; monitors market rate data and freight indices.

YOUR ROLE

As unique entry point to ocean carriers, the Procurement expert manages pricing for CiC and RORO (external solution): negotiates, spot and contract offer, secure cost-effective and reliable solutions at market rates to ensure business growth and profitability, and additional services / conditions (D&D, insurance).

Confirms space with carriers, ensure rate filing upon confirmation and contract adherence.

Maintain excellent relationship across ocean carriers’ community, building partnerships.

Ensure smooth coordination with ocean carriers, and internally with SDs & control towers at global level.

The position is integrated to CEVA FVL Liner GHO and reports to the Global procurement & solution Design

WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO DO ?

Procurement :

• Supports Solution design for rate procurement from Liner/carrier, within customer deadline
• Unique entry point to negotiate short- and long-term contract offers (spot or tender) with ocean carriers
• Ensures cost-effective conditions & solutions with ocean carriers, in line with market trends to secure business
• Ensures best service routing & Transit Time conditions

Coordination :

• Ensures effective communication with all stakeholders (ocean carriers, Solution Design, Operations).
• Ensure strict adherence to global deadlines for procurement efficiency
• Ensure space and equipment capacity with carriers once business is secured
• Close follow up on market trends via regular interactions with ocean carriers, CEVA ocean and XENETA tool
• Regular business reviews with ocean carriers to assess market trends
• Build reporting to Global procurement & SD Manager (market rate data base, freight evolution index …)
• Alerts to Global Procurement & SD Manager on potential corrective measures to be taken

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR ?

• Master degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Science/Engineering. Experience
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transport management.
• Practical knowledge and experience in FVL or Ocean transportation
• Practical knowledge and experience in FVL and Ocean transportation
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Excellent stakeholder skills, able to engage and align multiple stakeholders around the same objective.
• Very good formal presentation skills.
• Very good knowledge of MS Office.
• Solid understanding of the logistics industry.
• Fluency in English & French (written and spoken).
• Result-oriented with good analytical skills.
