VIAVI Solutions is seeking an entry-level Optical Engineer to join our dynamic R&D teams. You will design, develop, and test advanced optical systems while collaborating with experienced engineers in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment.

The program spans rotations across locations and includes exposure to cutting-edge technologies. As a recent graduate, you will apply fundamental optics concepts, perform tests, and contribute to documented technical results.

Qualifications

• Engineer degree in Optical Engineering, Optical Physics or related field from an accredited school.
• Fluency in French and English.
• Willingness to participate in four rotations, including international assignments up to 6 months each.

Responsabilités

• Design and analyze optical systems using fundamental principles, diffraction, laser physics and fiber optics.
• Test and characterize fiber optic components and assemblies with lab instrumentation.
• Perform optical calculations, simulations, and modeling to support product development.
• Conduct laser-based tests and measurements and document results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including senior engineers and product managers.
