Description du poste

This role is part of the global operations legal team and supports Pernod Ricard's procurement and operations functions, which are a mix of centralized and globally coordinated activities with a specific focus on direct and indirect procurement, supply chain logistics, innovation, and S&R. Reporting to the Global Operations Legal Director, you will work in partnership with other lawyers, procurement and operations professionals, and other key stakeholders throughout the Pernod Ricard group globally.

Your Key Missions:

You will assist the Global Operations Legal Director in managing the global procurement and operations legal support hub consisting of lawyers based at multiple sites. This will involve implementing and improving ways of working, harmonized processes, and systems to ensure a high level of communication and transparency within the team and with all key stakeholders. You will also contribute towards developing a team culture based on efficiency, business alignment, continuous improvement, and world-class legal support.

Day to day, you and your diverse global legal team, in close collaboration with the Global Operations Legal Director, the Brand Company Legal Directors, and the local and central procurement teams, will be responsible for:

  1. Direct and Indirect Procurement Supply Chain: Providing legal support on direct procurement (i.e., primary, secondary, and tertiary product packaging), indirect procurement (POS, VAPS, and various business services), and supply chain logistics for both the brand company HQ and central procurement teams. This includes regulatory and contractual problem solving, legal support for supplier disputes, and responding to queries from these teams.
  2. Innovation and S&R: Providing legal support and strategic guidance to fast-moving group R&I (product development, breakthrough innovation) and S&R (carbon emissions, circular economy initiatives, packaging compliance, and adherence to regulation functions).
  3. Contracts: Drafting, revising, reviewing, advising on, and negotiating various commercial contracts in partnership with procurement specialists and multiple other stakeholders across our global business.
  4. RFx Activity: Supporting procurement exercises including preparing RFx materials, negotiating with event participants, assessing participant submissions, reporting to and advising the procurement teams, and helping manage the award of business (including localization and associated documentation). This includes the use and continuous optimization of the group's e-procurement and contract/matter management systems, e-signing tools, and other digital solutions.
  5. External Legal Service Provider Management: Managing external legal service providers to ensure high quality and cost-effective services as needed.
  6. Regulatory Landscape: Keeping an eye on global trends and regulatory changes, analyzing potential impacts and needed changes to address challenges within the global procurement and operations legal support hub scope.
  7. Special Projects: Showcasing tech savviness, helping manage and deliver our special projects (such as the development of content for our online facilities and digital self-service legal tools).
  8. Consulting: Consulting with key stakeholders, particularly the brand company legal directors, on matters of legal risk acceptance and strategy and otherwise keeping them informed of all relevant activities.
  9. Communication & Training: Communicating with the wider business (including Pernod Ricard HQ, brand companies, external advisers, and other departments) and providing training where needed.
  10. Records & Reports: Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts, cases, and projects, and preparing regular reports on legal matters for key stakeholders.
  11. Continuous Improvement: Maintaining procurement and operations related legal templates and other tools and otherwise supporting a continuous improvement strategy.

You are an experienced lawyer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial legal roles, some of that experience in-house, including previous people management experience.

You have the ability to manage and develop a diverse global team of legal counsels (on-site and remote), cultivating an inclusive and high-performing collaborative team culture.
