Job Description:

Within our Global Marketing & Market Development Department (GM&MD), based in Virbac headquarters in Carros (06), we are looking for our:

Belonging to the Global Marketing and Medical Department under the responsibility of the Global Companion Animals Pharma and Bio Director.

Within the context of the global animal health market and the group strategy, our Global Marketing Manager for Pet Preventatives (Parasiticides and Vaccines) is responsible for the development and implementation of a global marketing strategy. This strategy focuses resources on maximizing profit contribution, optimizing market shares, net margin, and managing commercial budgets for Pet Preventatives, in agreement with national marketing directors. The role also involves providing market input and seeking new business opportunities. Additionally, the Global Marketing Manager is in charge of generating new product ideas and projects to fuel the pipeline for both Parasiticides and Vaccines business.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Portfolio management, development, and optimization: brand building and range optimization (key drivers of global profit contribution growth, streamlining, extension of range, country-specific recommendations).
  • Strategic planning (Budget & 3-year plan): defining objectives, discussing ambitions, and making recommendations on pricing, positioning, and commercial strategies/tactics to improve sales and profit contribution.
  • New product introduction & launch preparations: managing interfaces with innovation, market, and business development teams to prepare new launches with comprehensive toolkits for affiliates, ensuring timely execution. Participating in and enriching the innovation pipeline, considering market needs.
  • Operational marketing expertise for the assigned portfolio: developing the Pet Parasiticides and Vaccines culture within the group, fostering exchanges between affiliates, and implementing strategies and tactics to grow the business. Coordinating marketing and medical support with a junior marketing manager and a medical manager.
  • Financial acumen: understanding P&L, profitability management, and analysis to ensure the long-term success of the Virbac Parasiticides and Vaccines business, managing market and financial performance indicators.

Your profile:

  • Experience in Pet Parasiticides or Vaccines marketing, Veterinary or agricultural engineering background, with 5-10 years in marketing, sales, or technical roles within the veterinary industry. Customer experience, including field experience. Financial acumen (ROI, NPV, EBIT, etc.) and sound decision-making skills.

Your personality:

  • People leadership skills, especially in communication and influence, to drive activities and build strong relationships through dialogue.
  • Customer-driven mindset, result-oriented, autonomous, independent, courageous, and capable of leading change. Ability to work effectively in multicultural and cross-functional teams.

International profile:

  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Experience working in a global team or with responsibilities across different countries.
  • High adaptability to different cultures.
  • Willingness to travel globally at least once per month.
