Position Overview / General Purpose of the Role

As both a strategic and operational leader, you will drive the global development of the Additives & Specialties business for the Paints, Inks & Coatings industries.

You will be responsible for revenue, marketing strategy, new market development, and the leadership of an international team of technical sales engineers.

You will work closely with R&D, Marketing, Operations, and Key Customers to build differentiated solutions and grow global presence.

Reporting to the general manager

Main Responsibilities / Missions

  • Drive business performance (revenue, margin, growth) of the dedicated market
  • Lead and coach an international team of technical sales engineers (10-15 peoples)
  • Act as the global key contact for major international customers
  • Coordinate closely with internal teams: Supply Chain, R&D, Production, and Quality
  • Negotiate sales prices and manage commercial contracts and customer loyalty
  • Define and implement a proactive prospecting strategy across new countries and market segments
  • Collaborate with the Centre for Studies & Innovation to define R&D programs for new additives
  • Create and regularly update technical documentation and sales support materials
  • Design and deliver internal training sessions, webinars, and technical workshops
  • Develop and communicate marketing strategies for each product family
  • Represent company at international trade shows , technical days, and industry congresses
  • Write technical articles in cooperation with the R&D team
  • Monitor delivery performance, coordinate customer satisfaction, and manage potential claims.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master's degree or engineering background in Chemistry (or equivalent)
  • 10 - 15 years of experience in the Paints, Inks & Coatings industrial application.
  • Proven technical expertise in formulations and manufacturing processes, troubles shooting.
  • Strong track record in commercial development and technical marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to manage international and cross-functional teams
  • Strong project management, customer orientation, and business acumen - Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Personal qualities: curiosity, autonomy, adaptability, team spirit, and strategic thinking
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) – essential in a multicultural environment
  • Frequent global travelling - 40% / 4-5 Travels overseas/year
