Missions / Service Dimensions
The Consultant will contribute to marine assurance activities across the company group by offering expert support and technical control for the offshore fleet. This includes, but is not limited to, vessel types supporting logistics, drilling, diving, construction, and accommodation.
Main Activities
- Conduct quality control of submitted OVID inspection reports commissioned by the Company, ensuring compliance with OCIMF quality standards.
- Review the close-out proposals made by vessel technical operators following OVID inspections and provide recommendations for vetting decisions.
- Provide ad-hoc marine advice and technical consultancy as required by the Company.
- Perform technical analysis for vessel selection in support of marine operations.
- Interface with marine departments and contribute to continuous improvement of marine vetting procedures and standards.
Qualifications & Experience Required
Certification
- Must hold or have held a Merchant Marine Master or Chief Engineer license (unlimited tonnage/power).
- Must hold or have held OVID accreditation.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
- At least 5 years of sea service as Master or Chief Engineer on complex offshore support vessels (e.g., DSVs or construction vessels).
Languages
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) - essential.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Excellent knowledge of OCIMF / OVID standards and marine assurance best practices.
- Familiarity with international offshore marine operations and vessel compliance requirements.
