Required Skills and Experience:
  • Strong social knowledge and significant experience dealing with social relations in Europe (including France and Germany)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to handle difficult conversations effectively to influence and build trust
  • Negotiation skills; ability to identify or develop mutually acceptable solutions; decision-making capability
  • Understanding of the environment, context, and issues at stake, including company history, culture, and strategy
  • Cultural awareness, considering the global environment and diversity
  • Multilingual: fluent in French, English; German is a plus
  • Degree in Social Relations, Employee Relations, or similar (preferred)
  • Ability to balance legal requirements with management preferences, ensuring legal and social obligations are met

Position: Global Head of Social Relations (F/M)

Your role will be to:

  • Monitor the social climate across AXA Partners' countries in collaboration with Regional or local HRDs, EXCOM members, and Group Social Relations
  • Anticipate and manage workforce adaptations related to transformation initiatives, reorganizations, and contract changes
  • Manage social relations effectively, mitigating issues, educating stakeholders, and fostering positive dialogue
  • Maintain regular contact with social partners to understand strategic initiatives and strengthen relationships, including managing the annual AP EWC seminar and biannual Group EWC interventions

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Ensure global coherence of policies and social initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with local legal requirements
  • Keep stakeholders informed of issues requiring management attention
  • Highlight risks and manage messaging with social partners to achieve productive outcomes
  • Develop comprehensive workforce plans and social strategies to manage workforce changes effectively
  • Provide strategic advice and insights on social relations matters, supporting local HRDs and managing relationships with unions and worker councils
  • Support the implementation of new employment conventions and manage employment-related social relations
  • Foster collaborative social dialogue to minimize conflicts, including organizing seminars and representing AXA Partners at social relations committees
  • Work closely with internal communications to effectively manage change communication
