Wabtec is seeking a Freight System Engineer to oversee the integration of braking and digitalization systems, ensuring solutions meet customer requirements. You will act as the main liaison among project teams, Wabtec sites, and customers in France and abroad.

The role involves designing railway braking systems, managing technical interfaces, validating requirements traceability, and supporting reviews and milestones across a multi-site, international environment.

Qualifications

• Higher education in mechanics or engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in an industrial environment.
• Ability to draft technical specifications and work on complex projects.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Professional Italian and English; French a plus.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop railway braking systems and digitalization solutions.
• Manage technical specifications and interfaces between subsystems.
• Ensure requirement traceability and technical project consistency.
• Participate in customer technical reviews and milestone meetings.
• Analyze technical risks and propose appropriate solutions.
• Manage customer-requested modifications by evaluating their impacts.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary, multi-site teams in an international environment.
• Assume technical responsibility for projects through commissioning.
• Manage technical requirements traceability throughout the lifecycle.
