Wabtec is seeking a Freight System Engineer to oversee the integration of braking and digitalization systems, ensuring solutions meet customer requirements and project milestones. You will coordinate between project teams, Wabtec sites and customers across Europe, with regular travel and a focus on end-to-end system integrity.

The role requires strong technical prowess in mechanical, electrical, and electronic domains, plus fluency in Italian and English and willingness to travel within Europe.

Qualifications

• Higher education in mechanics or engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in an industrial environment.
• Fluent in Italian and English; French is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop railway braking systems and digitalization solutions.
• Manage technical specifications and interfaces between subsystems.
• Ensure requirement traceability and technical project consistency.
• Participate in customer technical reviews and project milestone meetings.
• Analyze technical risks and propose appropriate solutions.
• Manage customer-requested modifications by evaluating their technical and economic impacts.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary, multi-site teams in an international environment.
• Assume technical responsibility for projects and ensure overall solution consistency through to commissioning.
• Manage technical requirements and their traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
