We are now looking for another team member to join us as Global Continuous Improvement Manager.

As the Global Continuous Improvement Manager, you will lead the development and deployment of the division’s CI strategy while working hands-on with plant teams and local CI coordinators to drive sustainable improvements directly on the shop floor. By fostering a culture of continuous improvement, you will anchor ownership locally, establish global standards, and build a strong CI network to share best practices across the organization.

What you’ll be doing :

  • Lead the development and deployment of the division’s Continuous Improvement (CI) strategy, ensuring alignment with the Knauf Group’s direction while actively engaging with teams to drive implementation.
  • Work hands-on with plant teams across our organization, spending time on the shop floor to identify improvement opportunities and implement lean methodologies directly where the work happens.
  • Collaborate closely with local CI coordinators, working through them to ensure alignment, support, and effective execution of CI initiatives at the plant level.
  • Establish and promote global standards for problem-solving, performance improvement, and Lean / CI best practices, ensuring practical application in daily operations.
  • Actively train and coach teams at all levels, fostering a continuous improvement mindset and anchoring ownership of CI locally to ensure sustainable results.
  • Conduct CI assessments at production sites worldwide, working closely with local teams and local CI coordinators to develop and execute actionable improvement plans tailored to their specific needs.
  • Collaborate directly with local teams to support and follow through on CAPEX projects, ensuring successful implementation and alignment with CI principles.
  • Build and strengthen the division’s Continuous Improvement Network by facilitating best-practice sharing and empowering local teams and CI coordinators to take ownership of their improvement initiatives.

What we’d love for you to have :

  • Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 8–10 years of experience in manufacturing or operations, with expertise in Continuous Improvement and Lean methodologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and tools, with a proven track record of leading CI initiatives in global, multi-site environments.
  • Hands-on experience implementing Lean tools on the shop floor and driving cultural change.
  • Strong coaching and training skills across all organizational levels.
  • Familiarity with CAPEX project management and aligning investments with CI principles.
  • Passionate about driving change and empowering teams to take ownership of improvement initiatives.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and able to navigate complex challenges in a dynamic environment.
  • Fluency in English and either German or French (proficiency in all three is a plus).
  • Willingness to travel extensively (up to 50–70%) worldwide.
