Bostik is looking for a Global Construction & Consumers Sustainability Director for its head office in La Défense.
Your main responsibilities will be:
1. Sustainability Strategy :
- Define, structure, and maintain the GBU C&C Sustainability Strategy, aligned with Bostik's Corporate C&C Sustainability strategy and Arkema's overall sustainability goals.
- Assess and analyze company policies and processes to identify areas for improvement in line with organizational sustainability commitments.
- Innovate and identify creative ways for Bostik C&C to balance business needs with environmental responsibility.
- Serve as the key contact for external stakeholders regarding sustainability matters.
- Draft and implement organizational policies addressing environmental concerns.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability programs and recommend improvements.
- Conduct research on environmental and sustainability issues relevant to the organization.
- Act as an internal sustainability consultant to educate colleagues on trends and issues in sustainability.
- Manage Bostik C&C’s contributions to Arkema sustainability initiatives, ensuring alignment with CSR commitments.
- Deliver objectives and KPIs outlined in the C&C Sustainability roadmap, focusing on Responsible Manufacturing, Sustainable Innovation, and Trustworthy Collaboration.
- Drive global sustainable innovation by identifying new product, packaging, or service opportunities.
- Provide guidance on sustainable certifications to meet market requirements.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and monitor execution of sustainability initiatives.
3. Market :
- Monitor global market trends and identify gaps for growth opportunities through new introductions or corrective actions.
- Observe sustainability initiatives of competitors, suppliers, and end-users in the adhesives and sealants sector.
- Participate in external events like association meetings and conferences to gather insights on market and innovation trends.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as architects, substrate suppliers, and institutes.
- Assist the Communications team in developing tools to communicate C&C Sustainability objectives and successes internally and externally.
- Advise on regulatory changes affecting C&C in EMEA, such as ATP21 and CPR, to ensure timely compliance.
The profile we are looking for :
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sciences, Engineering, or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in the industry, preferably within the C&C market.
- Ability to manage multiple programs and projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging at senior management levels.
- Experience in managing customer and key partner relationships.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in another European language such as German or French is a plus.
