S&P Global Energy is seeking an analyst to bolster the Chemical Research & Analytics team. The role will deliver market intelligence and commodity insights for methanol and derivatives, develop data-driven models, and produce CEH reports for clients globally.

Ideal candidates have up to five years in commodity markets, a numerate degree, and advanced Excel with familiarity in Power BI/Tableau, SQL or Python. London-based, hybrid collaboration encouraged.

Qualifications

• Data-heavy role requiring strong ability to manipulate and present data
• Expert-level Excel; working knowledge of BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) and SQL/Python is a plus
• Background in chemical industries or markets is desirable

Responsabilités

• Perform modelling and analysis to develop and improve analytical models
• Research chemical industry topics, sources, and data to extract insights
• Support SMEs in maintaining supply/demand balances, trade flows, and price forecasts
• Write industry reports linked to the industry value chain covered
• Author Chemical Economics Handbook reports using market knowledge and collaboration with internal experts
• Prepare client-ready presentations and respond to data requests from clients
• Collaborate with teams to ensure timely and accurate information publication
