Overview
You will be the Global Category Manager of Juices, Concentrates & Derivatives. This is a unique opportunity to grow a category from the ground up, developing sales, sourcing, product management, and team capabilities in this area.
Day to day will be focused on leading the category globally, driving growth and building the team and processes necessary to scale.
Responsibilities
- Own the sourcing and the sales of Juices, Concentrates & Derivatives category, globally.
- Apply industry knowledge & value chain expertise to source the right side-streams and sell the right ingredients to the right clients.
- Own Sales, Sourcing, Product Management, and eventual orders delivery / coordination in the category.
- Build your team from scratch.
- Own the full P&L & business plan of the category.
- Be accountable for its global growth; opening new offices & regions will be your decision.
- Monitor and adapt sales strategy & market needs (shortages, trends) in the category.
- Help Product Managers develop relevant specifications to achieve the best market fit.
- Accountable for achieving ambitious growth targets of average multiple 3 per year with uncapped bonus and management package incentives.
We expect you to manage and animate a strong sales & sourcing pipeline from the beginning. Targets will be provided initially and, later, you will guide on what is achievable and contribute to overall company strategy.
Team & Reporting
You will build and lead your team. Initially you will have support from the Product Manager and Sourcing Manager who have explored this category. You will be guided by our C-level team, including the CEO. Your reporting will go directly to the COO, with the CEO providing technical support as needed. You will work closely with Head of Sourcing & Head of Sales to address category specifics.
Qualifications
Profil Recherché
We are looking for someone who can deliver short & long-term impact in a start-up environment. Adaptability and strategic input to growth are essential.
Fundamental
- At least 7 years of selling or purchasing natural colouring products (raw and/or processed).
- Perfect knowledge of the natural colouring industry B2B value chain.
- Technical expertise on natural colourant extraction from fruits & vegetables.
- Experience managing a team of 5 to 10 international personnel.
- Ability to anticipate quality & specification constraints for clients & products.
- Strong network in the business.
- Experience purchasing / selling internationally with broad geographic exposure.
- Excellent communication & listening skills; balanced approach, clear points, and problem-solving mindset.
- Fluent in English; other languages are a plus.
Bonus
- Technical background in the food business is a plus; experience may compensate for lack of formal background.
- Circular economy mindset.
- Experience selling similar resources (e.g., out-of-spec concentrated juices) is a strong bonus.
Conditions
- Contract: CDI
- Starting date: ASAP
- Location: Based in Avignon, France (remote work considered under specific conditions). Being on-site is preferred for fast-moving startup culture.
- Home office: up to 2 days per week.
- Salary: Competitive with uncapped bonus and management package; package tuned to experience.

Hiring Process
- First meeting: 30 minutes to cover background, experience, and motivation. Product samples may be shared between meetings.
- Second meeting: 60 minutes with deep-dive questions and a scorecard.
- Third meeting: 60 minutes with the management team.
- Fourth meeting: On-site with part of the team.
