Description du poste

In this REMOTE role, you must be based in EUROPE.

What is the purpose of the role?

The Global Category Leader - Flow E&I will report to the Global Category Management Team Leader. You will manage a portfolio with approximately an ~$80M spend and will be responsible for developing, validating, and implementing the global procurement strategy for sub-categories within this portfolio.

You will collaborate with Procurement Project/Product Leaders, Regional Category Leaders, Technology, and Supply Chain Leaders.

What are the day-to-day duties?
  • Define a global category strategy for assigned categories to drive continuous improvement and benefit the business.
  • Develop and manage the preferred supplier network and strategic suppliers.
  • Define contracting strategies and lead supplier negotiations.
  • Drive cash improvements across assigned categories.
  • Mitigate risks by developing a comprehensive strategy that builds a flexible supply chain and ensures supply continuity.
  • Develop a best-cost country strategy.
  • Report to leadership on market trends and category performance.
  • Maintain a general understanding of direct material categories and water treatment technologies (products and operations).
  • Stay informed about market trends and key suppliers in relevant categories.
  • Possess knowledge of the supply base for valves, pipes & fittings, instruments, analyzers, and RO pressure vessels.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of developing presentations and interacting comfortably with internal/external stakeholders and senior management.
Qualifications

What skills and background will you likely have?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Solid experience in category/supplier management, purchasing, production control, engineering, product, or project management.
  • Experience in procurement of items in flow, electrical, and instrumentation categories.
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% annually.
