Description du poste

Provide leadership and governance for all capital projects related to civil infrastructure and utilities across the Group's production facilities. The Global Head of Engineering for Civil and Utilities ensures optimal delivery of civil engineering projects by meeting performance, cost, and timeline objectives. The role leverages the Group's combined expertise to support affiliates with efficient and sustainable infrastructure solutions.

Roles and responsibilities :

Mission 1 : Strategy and Governance for Civil Engineering Projects

  • Governing the execution of projects globally to ensure successful outcome.
  • Be a steerco member besides the Regional engineering leads to ensure successful project execution in each region. Successful execution is defined as the right solution, at the right performance, at the planned time and cost.
  • Verify correct use of the Global Engineering team project model throughout the regions.
  • Verification of the available budgets vs. technical requirements to achieve the demand of the site.
  • Initiate and coordinate seamless integration between regional project organisations and the solely global functions such as Technology platform leads, Global Capex Procurement and Global Legal.
  • Create and develop the Operating Requirement for the engineering pillar. Work in close cooperation with the Global Teams Technical platform leads for defining minimum requirements and best practices. Develop through learning and feedback from the field.
  • Coordinate globally the use of engineering companies and external resources such as vendors, consultants and contractors.

Mission 2 : Team Development and Technology Advancement

  • Initiate technology Development to occur constantly by driving the development and implementation of new technologies of the pillar to enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness.
  • Ensure social and technical competence development of the team. Identify and coordinate suitable trainings required for regional project leads to get or stay up to date in this category of equipment.
  • Identify and initiate visits to fairs / workshops / conferences for the team to get or stay updated in this field of engineering.
  • Manage the complete team development budget and T&E accordingly.
  • Liaise with Regional engineering and Capex leads and regional project leaders to develop the way of working and ensure alignment between local teams and the engineering pillar staffing.
  • Deliver support throughout the whole process ( procurement, commissioning, start up, operational ).

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
  • Experience : At least 15 years of progressive managerial experience in Capex project management within a large, complex organization.

Relevant experience in both process and packaging.

  • Experience in operational management in a complex environment.
  • Proven ability to manage and train a department and staff of Project Managers.
  • Advantageous : multiple years in Civil and / or Utilities engineering.
  • Skills and Competencies :

Strong strategic planning skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate effective teams.
  • Knowledge of the spirits market and industry trends.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of design, procurement, and construction methods and systems for multi-discipline projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of design and construction procedures and facilities management.

Dimension and intervention perimeter :

  • Region : Global
  • Direct Reports : 1 (Civil&Utilities-focused engineers)
  • Main Stakeholders : HQ Operations, HQ Legal, VP Operations, Finance Operations, Factory Managers, Local Legal, TECH
  • Travel Requirements : Up to 30% of working time
  • Involvement in Working Groups : Yes (Engineering, Procurement, Legal, Operations)
