Data Engineering is the cornerstone of our data strategy.

As a SRE Data in the Data Engineering team, you will join a team of 5 talented people and bring your expertise to allow Qonto to meet its ambitious goals.

As a SRE Data at Qonto, you will:

• Be the referent on the team's infrastructure subjects to build a more resilient data infrastructure
• Create self-service data tools and infrastructure with high levels of automation
• Take ownership of key DevOps areas such as standardizing alerting and observability
• Have a structured reflection on the choices we make and why we make them
• Help the team to establish a production-ready streaming ecosystem (likely with Apache Flink)
• Make technical choices: at Qonto, technical decisions are made by technical expertise, not by position or level
• Continuously evaluate and improve system performance, reliability, and scalability

Your Toolkit:

• Cloud services: AWS, EKS
• Data Warehouse: Snowflake
• Orchestration and pipelines: Airflow, Airbyte
• Container technology: Kubernetes, Docker
• CI / CD: GitLab CI & ArgoCD
• Monitoring: Metrics with Prometheus & Thanos
• DB and messaging: AWS RDS PostgreSQL, SQS, Redis, and Kafka
• Programming language: Go & Python
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform

About You:

• Expertise: You have a data engineer/data platform background and an expertise as a SRE/DevOps in tech companies
• Mastery: You deeply understand Infrastructure’s issues and are proficient in at least one programming language (i.e: Go, Python). You know DevOps philosophy (monitoring, automation..) and have experience with Terraform and container technologies like Kubernetes.
• Communication: You have good communication skills and you know how to work with a team
• Best Practices: You strive to promote best practices: continuous integration, testing, automated/continuous deployment, and code patterns.
• Make an impact: You want to build a product that is used by thousands of companies, in a fast-growing environment
• Language: You are fluent in English
