Job summary

BRG is building its Forensic Investigations practice in Germany, backed by an international network and a genuine build in a new market.

You will perform forensic analyses, reconcile accounting records, and prepare evidentiary working papers, with support from senior colleagues. Experience with Excel, SQL or Relativity is a plus, and you will handle structured and unstructured data, including email and chat.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in audit, forensic services, or data analytics.
• University degree in business, accounting, economics, finance, law, IS, data science or comparable field.
• Strong Excel skills; exposure to SQL, Python, Alteryx or Relativity is a plus.
• Precise and discreet handling of confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Carry out forensic analyses under supervision of senior colleagues.
• Reconcile and reconstruct accounting records and test transactions for manipulation indicators.
• Prepare, cleanse and analyse structured data from accounting/ERP systems and unstructured data like email.
• Conduct document review in Relativity and quality-check coding decisions.
• Research corporate registries, public filings, court records and open sources.
• Prepare working papers to evidentiary standards and draft sections of deliverables.
• Prepare exhibits, tables and charts.
