IXO seeks a native or near-native German reviewer to evaluate AI-narrated audiobooks. You’ll assess natural delivery, wording, and narrative flow, and identify omissions, mispronunciations, and misread numbers. You will mark spans and assess overall listening experience.

This remote role requires ~20 hours per week, with pay of $20–$25 per hour. Some prior annotation or linguistic-review experience is helpful; English reporting is required for findings.

Evaluate AI-narrated audiobooks in German (Germany) from both a careful listener’s and a language reviewer’s perspective. You will identify the specific moments that interrupt understanding or enjoyment, alongside an assessment of the listening experience as a whole.

Responsibilities

• Listen for natural delivery, accurate wording and a convincing narrative flow.
• Mark omitted, added or incorrectly pronounced words, misread numbers and faulty expansion of abbreviations.
• Identify unnatural phrasing, intonation and audible glitches.
• Categorize each issue and mark its exact span in the recording.
• Explain where narration works well and where it reduces listener satisfaction.

Experience and availability

You need native or near-native German (Germany), regular personal experience listening to audiobooks and enough English to report findings clearly. Full bilingual proficiency is not required. Bring some annotation, transcription, proofreading, linguistic or comparable detailed-review experience, and the patience to maintain accuracy during extended listening.

Availability of approximately 20 hours per week, or around four hours per day, is expected for the intended engagement. Prior AI evaluation, audio QA, language editing, voice or audio-production work is helpful.

Deliverables and pay

Outputs are categorized error logs, marked audio spans and overall narration assessments. Contributors may work remotely from anywhere; residence in a region where the target variety is spoken is preferred, not mandatory. IXO will confirm the actual schedule and audiobook assignment before work begins.

Pay is $20 $25/hr in USD.
