A leading technology firm located in Nantes is seeking a General Accountant to oversee the accounting processes including general management, tax returns, and compliance with French and IFRS standards. The ideal candidate should be fluent in English, possess a degree in finance, and have experience with SAP. A proactive and autonomous work ethic is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of IFRS and French GAAP.
• Preparation of Tax returns (VAT, CVAE, CFE, IS, etc).

Responsabilités

• Manage general and supplier accounting, including data entry and settlements.
• Prepare tax returns including VAT, CVAE, CFE, IS.
• Participate in monthly and annual closing processes.

About the Role

For our French office, we are looking for a General Accountant : reporting to the Accounting Manager, your role will be to process the structure's accounts.

Responsibilities

• General and supplier accounting management (data entry, settlements, dispute handling, etc.).
• French and IFRS accounting standards.
• Management of fixed assets and depreciation.
• Cash management (daily bank entries, cash flow forecasts, etc.).
• Follow-up of data entry and reconciliation of inter-company re-invoicing.
• Preparation of tax returns (VAT, CVAE, CFE, IS, etc.).
• Participation in monthly, quarterly and annual closing (calculation and accounting of provisions in collaboration with the management controller FNP, CCA, FAE, PCA etc.).
• Participation in the annual closing process in conjunction with the chartered accountant and statutory auditor.
• Analysis and reporting (review and justification of accounts).
• Management of monthly payroll generation and follow-up of employee requests.

Requirements

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.

Fluency in English

IFRS and French GAAP
