Job summary

Energy Jobline ATTB is seeking a Pipeline Safety Inspector I to assist in inspecting natural gas pipeline facilities, including valves, regulator stations, and meters. The role involves using field evaluation forms and specialized tools to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

The position requires a BS in a relevant engineering field and at least one year in a utility engineering or related public/private sector role.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of engineering principles applied to gas facilities.
• Experience with inspection and research techniques in gas operations.
• Familiarity with Pipeline Safety Regulations – 49 CFR Parts 190-199 and Part 40.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspections of natural gas pipeline facilities (standard, construction, follow-up).
• Inspect and observe valves, regulator stations, master meters, relief valves, pressure recorders, odorators, rectifiers.
• Utilize field evaluation forms and specialized equipment (multi-meters, odorometers).
• Review operators' programs, plans, procedures, and maps to determine compliance with federal/state statutes.
