Qualifications

  • Expérience dans au moins un jeu commercialisé en tant que designer économique.
  • Passionné par les RPG et les jeux de simulation/stratégie.
  • Compréhension des comportements des joueurs sur mobile et des modèles économiques actuels.

Location: Ubisoft HQ Saint Mandé, France. Near Ligne 1 / RER A. Hybrid work model: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote.

As a Game Economy Designer, you will be responsible for balancing game loop & progression systems, including sources, sinks, quests, events, objectives, rewards, and monetization strategies.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and implement balancing for all game loop & progression systems according to the vision of the Creative and Live Operations Directors, including configuration parameters.
  • Work closely with the Live Ops Director on detailed balancing and monetization parameters.
  • Create and maintain documentation for game systems and designer tools.
  • Provide data-driven analysis and simulations to optimize game balancing, reacting to live player data.
  • Redefine system configuration pipelines and tools, coordinating with the tech team for improvements.
  • Revamp existing tools to enhance game balancing and configuration processes.
  • Participate in fixing bugs and optimizing systems, advocating for reworks when necessary to meet quality standards.

Candidate profile

  • Passionate about RPGs and simulation/strategy games.
  • In-depth knowledge of the game industry, especially top RPGs in the F2P & GaaS genre.
  • Understanding of mobile player behaviors and current business models.
  • Experience with live game development and at least one shipped game as an economic designer.
  • Strong background in numeric design and data manipulation.
  • Creative, adaptable, receptive to feedback, and a team player.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable design solutions.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and meticulous.
  • Experience with Unreal Engine and mobile platform development is a plus.
